The treatment is quick and involves minimal pain thanks to prior topical anaesthesia. Its effect can appear within 2–3 days of the procedure: sweating may decrease significantly or even stop. The result can last for up to 5–7 months, offering a longer-term solution to the discomfort caused by excessive sweating.
The procedure is preceded by a specialist consultation, during which the plastic surgeon assesses the condition, reviews regularly taken medication and provides information about the treatment options, risks and expected results.
