Both the Traditional Hévíz Cure, along with all our tools and professional expertise, are in place to introduce a brand-new service: rehabilitation.

Our rehabilitation service aims to restore functional abilities lost due to illness, injury, or surgery. It is especially recommended before and after musculoskeletal surgeries, following accidents, and during stroke recovery.

The success of surgeries addressing musculoskeletal issues - such as hip or knee replacements, certain spinal surgeries, or injuries - largely depends on the patient’s preoperative condition and the effectiveness of postoperative rehabilitation. To help our guests regain their previous quality of life, we offer both pre- and postoperative rehabilitation, supporting effective preparation for surgery and optimal recovery afterward. In addition to musculoskeletal issues, rehabilitation after neurological conditions is also essential for recovery. Early initiation of physiotherapy and physical therapy after the acute phase helps prevent severe mobility restrictions and plays a key role in regaining walking ability and independence. Throughout the entire therapeutic process, we work with a holistic approach based on a personalized treatment plan.

In the postoperative phase of rehabilitation or immediately following an injury, it is professionally important to distinguish between the early and late stages, as this plays a crucial role in selecting the appropriate treatment. The pace of rehabilitation and the recovery time are greatly influenced by the surgical technique used, the patient's age, and their general preoperative physical condition. 

In the early phase of rehabilitation, we primarily focus on physiotherapy to improve mobility, promote wound healing, and enhance blood circulation in the limbs. It is essential that movement - specifically, the patient’s personalized therapeutic exercises - begins as early as possible to prevent loss of range of motion. With our CPM device, functional treatment can start immediately after surgery: passive movements performed by the machine help prepare the operated limb for active physiotherapy. Using our BEMER magnetic therapy, REPULS therapy, and cryotherapy, we can effectively reduce pain, accelerate wound healing, and decrease swelling. In this early stage, we place special emphasis on wound care, edema reduction, and regular medical supervision.

In the later phase of therapy, rehabilitation conditioning begins, focusing on improving the patient’s strength, endurance, speed, and overall fitness. We also place strong emphasis on joint mobility, correcting existing faulty movement patterns, and enhancing balance and coordination.

After wound healing, the Hévíz healing water and other elements of the Traditional Hévíz Cure can be actively incorporated into the rehabilitation process.

Potential contents of the rehabilitation program:

• Initial condition assessment, follow-up, and final examination by a rheumatologist/rehabilitation specialist 
• Condition assessment by a physiotherapist  
• 10× personalized premium rehabilitation-specific physiotherapy sessions (40 minutes) aimed at muscle stretching, enriched with manual techniques
• 10× rehabilitation conditioning sessions (30 minutes): muscle-strengthening therapy in a dry or healing water environment (depending on wound healing)
  
• 12× BEMER magnetic therapy sessions for pain relief and scar healing
  
• Daily use of the CPM machine in the patient's own room under the supervision of a physiotherapist (in case of knee surgery)
• Additional medical treatment package with 10× treatments based on the specialist's recommendation, taking into account the patient's condition
  
• "Life is good" blood test package (examines the function of the hematopoietic system, liver, and kidneys, as well as carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism, and inflammatory processes in the body)

The final content of our offer depends on the type of surgery and the patient's medical condition, which will be finalized during a preliminary written assessment and telephone consultation. If it is possible to involve the surgeon who performed the operation in the consultation, we are happy to tailor the treatment program to their guidance and recommendations.

Important additional information for using the package:

In case of booking within 0-4 weeks after the surgery (prior to suture removal and wound healing), a preliminary condition assessment questionnaire is required, and, if requested, a telephone consultation may be conducted, which may result in additional costs.

Our hotel is able to accommodate guests who are continent, load-stable, and mentally healthy. We cannot provide care for guests suffering from seizure-related illnesses, severe heart failure, renal failure or those who are bedridden.
The offer includes rehabilitation services for one person. If the patient arrives with a companion, we can offer a companion room rate.
