For women, an annual gynaecological examination and cancer screening are extremely important for maintaining health and for prevention, as many abnormalities can develop without symptoms or complaints over months or even years. Early detection of abnormalities can be decisive for the choice and outcome of treatment.

We pay special attention to women over 50, for whom the gynaecological screening is supplemented with a rectal examination for the early detection of rectal abnormalities.

Our health centre also works with state-of-the-art Fotona laser equipment, which is suitable for treating intimate problems such as vaginal dryness, incontinence, vaginal wall prolapse, vaginal laxity and cervical abnormalities.

The gynaecological examination begins with a discussion of complaints and medical history, followed by a bimanual gynaecological examination and then oncocytology and HPV-X sampling. This is followed by a transvaginal pelvic ultrasound examination, and finally an examination of the breasts and regional lymph nodes completes the process.

HPV sampling and typing includes the individual identification of the high-risk types HPV16 and HPV18 and the group detection of the high-risk types 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68. Results are issued within 3 working days.
