Fetal CTG (NST) Examination

An NST or fetal CTG examination is used to monitor the baby’s well-being during the final stage of pregnancy. The NST (non-stress test) is a painless, non-invasive examination that monitors the baby’s heart activity and uterine contractions during pregnancy.
During the examination, sensors attached to the CTG device record changes in the baby’s heart rate as well as uterine contractions. The results provide important information about the baby’s current condition and well-being.
In uncomplicated pregnancies, according to current prenatal care practices in Hungary, NST examinations are recommended regularly, once a week, starting from 38 completed weeks of pregnancy.
At our Health Centre, we welcome expectant mothers in a calm and comfortable environment, using a modern fetal CTG device that is also suitable for twin pregnancies.
The examination is performed by our specialist gynaecologists by prior appointment.
