Since the hotel opened, I have been the medical director and rheumatology and physiotherapy specialist of its medical department.
I grew up in Hévíz and it never occurred to me to live anywhere else – and that is how I became a rheumatologist.
I finished secondary school at Vajda János Grammar School in Keszthely and then obtained my medical degree at the University of Medicine of Pécs. I subsequently passed board examinations in rheumatology and physiotherapy. I began my career as a rheumatologist at the Hévíz Spa Hospital and later became chief physician at the Postás Health Resort in Hévíz.
Since 2000, when the hotel opened, I have held the position of chief physician of the medical department.
I have been working with my medical team for many years, and thanks to this well-established cooperation, patients can truly feel that they come first. This continuity guarantees that we can follow each guest’s path to recovery, including the improvements achieved over the years.
We can look back on many success stories: when we have turned a previously over-medicated patient, who had been confined to a wheelchair and was facing surgery, into a mobile, independently walking, symptom-free regular guest, it is a wonderful confirmation – and it takes stability and continuity.
As a medical ambassador of the town of Hévíz, I have been giving annual lectures since 2011 on the town’s medical treatments and traditions – and thus on the secret of Hévíz.
I speak German and Russian at an advanced level. I continuously develop my skills by attending professional conferences and training courses. I am particularly interested in the connections between different diseases and in interdisciplinary problems.
In my view, we also heal with our personality: the dialogue and personal conversations during the course of treatment are key elements of the therapy programme.
