The goal of the cardiological examination is the recognition of diseases of the cardiovascular and the vascular system and the identification of risk factors based on the lifestyle of the patient, previous diseases, regularly or occasionally taken medication and diseases occurring in the family.

The cardiological examination always starts with the taking of an anamnesis, which is followed by the detailed questioning of the patient. After that it comes to the physical examination and if necessary to an ECG and/or cardiac ultrasound examination. It is very important that the patient brings the findings of previous specialists and any final reports to the consultation.

The cardiological consultation plays an important role in the prevention of diseases since with the right nutrition, appropriate movement and the regular participation in check-ups the disease can be prevented or turned back.
