The importance of regular, annual gynecological exams and cancer screenings cannot be emphasized enough. Numerous changes develop symptom- and complaint-free over months or years. As in most cases, early detection of possible changes is crucial here too, as the time factor can be decisive in the selection and outcome of the treatment.

We pay special attention to women over 50; for them, we complement the gynecological screening with a rectal examination to detect changes in the rectum early.

Our health center also uses a state-of-the-art Fotona laser device, which excellently treats intimate symptoms such as vaginal dryness, incontinence, vaginal wall prolapse, wide vagina, and cervical changes.

Procedure of the specialist examination:

• The first step of the gynecological examination is the discussion of possible complaints and medical history.
• This is followed by the bimanual gynecological examination.
• Then comes the oncocytological and HPV-X sampling.
• After that, the vaginal pelvic ultrasound examination is performed.
• Finally, the examination of the breasts and regional lymph nodes concludes the process.

COBASR HPV sampling and typing:

• The screening includes:
  • the individual identification of HPV16 and HPV18 from the high-risk types, and
  • the grouped detection of the following high-risk types: 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, and 68.
• Results are issued within 3 working days.
