The success of operations addressing musculoskeletal problems (whether hip or knee surgery/prosthesis implantation, certain spinal operations or injuries) depends greatly on the patient's preoperative condition and on the quality of postoperative rehabilitation. To help restore the patient's previous quality of life, we offer both preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation, effectively supporting preparation for surgery as well as recovery after the operation. In addition to musculoskeletal problems, rehabilitation of neurological conditions is also important for recovery. After the acute phase, starting therapeutic exercise and physiotherapy as soon as possible helps prevent severe limitations in mobility and also plays an important role in restoring walking ability and independence in daily activities. Throughout the entire course of therapy, we follow a holistic approach based on an individualised treatment plan.

In the postoperative period or immediately after an injury, it is professionally important to distinguish between the early and later stages of rehabilitation, as this plays a decisive role in choosing the appropriate treatment. The pace of rehabilitation and the recovery time are greatly influenced by the surgical technique used, the patient's age and their general fitness before surgery. In the early stage of rehabilitation, we focus primarily on physiotherapy, thereby improving mobility, promoting wound healing and increasing blood circulation in the limbs. It is important to begin mobilisation – in other words, the patient's personalised therapeutic exercise – as soon as possible in order to prevent restriction of movement. Following knee surgery, our CPM machine allows functional treatment to begin immediately after the operation, with machine-assisted movements preparing the operated limb for strengthening physiotherapy. With our BEMER magnetic therapy, REPULS and cryotherapy treatments, we can effectively relieve pain, accelerate wound healing and reduce oedema. During the early stage, we also pay particular attention to wound healing and wound care, under regular medical supervision. In the later stage of therapy, rehabilitation conditioning begins, during which we improve the patient's general fitness, muscle strength, speed and endurance. We also place great emphasis on treating and stabilising the whole body, correcting already developed faulty movement patterns, and improving balance and coordination. Once the wound has healed, the medicinal water of Hévíz and other elements of the Traditional Hévíz Therapy can also be actively incorporated into rehabilitation.

- 10× rehabilitation conditioning (20-40 minutes): muscle-strengthening exercise therapy in dry and aquatic environments in the later stage of rehabilitation
- application of suspension techniques from gentle unloading to active training throughout all stages of rehabilitation using a suspension frame
- 20× health treatments as recommended by a specialist and tailored to the guest*

Important additional information for using the package:
When booking a stay covering weeks 0-4 after surgery (before suture removal and wound healing), completion of a preliminary health assessment questionnaire is required, with a telephone consultation if necessary. Depending on the outcome, additional costs may apply.

Our hotel is able to accommodate continent, weight-bearing stable and mentally healthy guests. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide care for guests suffering from seizure disorders, severe heart or kidney failure, or guests who are bedridden.
The offer includes rehabilitation services for 1 person. If our patient arrives with an accompanying person, we can offer a special room rate for the companion.

This allows them to devote comprehensive attention to their health at the same time and in one place. In an exclusive environment, the centre offers comprehensive services for guests who wish to take an active role in maintaining their health, with an expanded range of medical services, ultrasound diagnostics, a dedicated Synlab blood collection centre and a day-surgery operating theatre. The services of the Health Centre primarily follow the principles of Western medicine while remaining open to complementary medicine. The patient is always at the centre of our approach.
