We have once again received the Traditional Hévíz Therapy certification

The Traditional Hévíz Therapy certification was established in 2015 by the city of Hévíz with the aim of accrediting those institutions that apply classic therapies based on the medicinal waters of Hévíz.

Our hotel has once again received the "Traditional Hévíz Therapy" certificate, accrediting our spa department for another two years so that our guests can continue to enjoy high-quality, traditional treatments. In the picture, our general manager, Nikoletta Gyutai-Szalay, is seen with Tamás Pálffy, Managing Director of Hévíz Tourism Nonprofit Ltd.

The criteria for the "Traditional Hévíz Therapy" trademark were developed by a committee of several expert doctors. During the certification process, it is necessary to review every two years whether the relevant institutions have the necessary conditions for performing traditional Hévíz cures, which are defined as follows:

1. Bathing in certified thermal-medicinal water: the institution has a thermal pool with Hévíz medicinal water.
2. The water temperature in the thermal-medicinal pool is between 25-38°C, and the duration of bathing is determined by a specialist in the individual cure plan.
3. The opportunity for patients to bathe in the Hévíz medicinal lake (this can also be off-site).
4. The institution offers Hévíz medicinal mud packs or Hévíz medicinal mud baths.
5. The mud in the mud pack has a maximum temperature of 42°C, and the duration is determined by a specialist in the individual cure plan.
6. The institution offers weight bath therapy.
7. The water temperature in the weight bath pool is between 34-36°C, and the duration, weight sizes and distribution, as well as the suspension points, are determined by a specialist in the individual cure plan.

During certification, all listed conditions must be fully met!

Our hotel was among the first to receive this trademarked certification. Our experts and staff have been working hard ever since to ensure we continue to provide high quality for those seeking healing.

The certification in June 2024 was also carried out by a committee of expert chief rheumatologists.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gábor Domokos from Hévíz Saint Andrew Rheumatology Hospital and Spa, Dr. Veronika Moll as the chief rheumatologist of the Hotel Europa Fit****^superior, and Dr. Géza Kurth, chief rheumatologist representing the NaturMed Hotel Carbona, visited the institutions and checked for the presence of the conditions outlined in the requirements.

The certification certificate was presented to the representatives of the institutions and hotels at the Hévíz Thermal Lake Bath by Tamás Pálffy, Managing Director of Hévíz Tourism Nonprofit Ltd.
